Danielle Begg
Danielle is the creator & lead trainer of the Body Mind Heart Training® 200 Hour Trauma Informed Yoga teacher training. She runs workshops and retreats globally, teaches Trauma Informed Yoga programs in Sydney with people recovering from trauma, and offers private consultation and mentoring. Danielle has an academic background in Psychology, a Master of Science from Oxford University, and a Global Mental Health Post Graduate Certificate from Harvard Medical School. She marries this knowledge with her experience teaching evidence based Trauma Informed Yoga as the Co-Founder & CEO of The Yoga Impact Charity (formerly The Refugee Yoga Project) & Founder of Body Mind Heart Training®. -

Janelle Kingsley
Janelle is a lead trainer of the Body Mind Heart Training® in Melbourne and has been a member of The Yoga Impact Charity team, sharing yoga in the community since 2020. She first discovered yoga nearly 20 years ago while at university, finding in it a way to breathe more deeply and feel supported during an intense and transformative period. She has since undertaken a number of yoga, embodiment, and somatic trainings, and continues to study Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy with world-renowned teachers such as Dr Peter Levine. She is passionate about trauma informed spaces that are empowering and inclusive for everybody, and in our deep capacities for healing. -

Harriet Smith
Harriet has completed over 1,200 hours of diverse yoga training, including an Advanced Diploma of Holistic Yoga Practices, RYT500, and RYT200. She currently facilitates Yoga Teacher Trainings, workshops, and retreats across Australia. Her classes emphasize precise alignment and subtle anatomical awareness, helping students cultivate a deep connection with themselves throughout the practice. Harriet’s playful sense of humour keeps you smiling even when your body is challenged, and her sessions conclude with deep relaxation, leaving you with a sense of calm, strength, and mastery. -

Zainab Al Jawadi
Zainab discovered yoga as a way to find peace and calm after resettling in Australia from Iraq in 2013. Experiencing its healing power firsthand inspired her to complete a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, and she now shares trauma informed yoga suitable for all bodies and abilities. Zainab holds a Bachelor of Social Work and is a member of The Yoga Impact Charity’s teaching team, bringing yoga to refugees healing from torture and trauma. She is also part of The Yoga Impact Charity’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Faculty and works as a refugee caseworker.

Jacqui Jarrett
Jacqui is a proud Dharawal and Gumbaynggirr woman, born on country, who has raised her children on country and now watches her grandchildren connect with country. Her enduring connection to country profoundly informs her yoga practice, grounding it in cultural and spiritual wisdom. She is committed to elevating the presence of First Nations people within the yoga community, showing how Indigenous spiritual and cultural practices naturally align with many aspects of yoga philosophy and have been nurtured for over 40,000 years.
